I'd say it looks tacked on and out of character with the car. I still think that a Mach1 patterned after the '71-'73 cars with NACA ducts on the hood would be better suited.

That would look good aswell. As far as the scoop its an old model.
So a new up to date version might not look out of place.
But this at least shows ford has multiple styles to choose from that would fit.

Well, that depends on who you ask doesn't it? Some say 2018MY, others say 2018 as a 2019MY, others still say that there isn't any distinct evidence that a Mach1 is impending at all. So, YMMV...

They would need to find a way to tastefully tie the Shaker Hood into the car. IMO the S550 lost enough of the retro look where a shaker could look out of place

Personally, I think the high output version of the 3.5EBTT that is going into the Raptor will see its way into the new Mach 1 in 2018

As much as I'd like to see either the 2.7 or 3.5 Ecoboost V6 in the Mustang (as long as it's not at the expense of the V8!!!!) I don't see it happening for S550. However, the '21MY S650 is another matter!

I'm willing to bet that there are folk on this site that know more about it than we do. But they wish to remain employed...
Or not violate confidentiality agreements still valid after they've left ;)

Well, that could be, however, I think I can be reasonably confident that my statement is more correct... The key is that you've got to figure out who those folks are what for any slips... :ninja:
