I got pulled over a week or so ago, with my wife. I was going 25 in a 25 zone. I did a 3 Mississippi stop at a stop sign (I saw the officer before he saw me). He lights me up anyway... "Hey, great car! What is it? OH, that's cool. Have a great day!"

I considered it DWR... Driving While Red!

I lived in Budingen and Hanua. Outside of checkpoints at that time it was very rare to see Polizei actually out and about unless you were at a festival or demonstration. Duck tape right over the plate.

It's gonna be hard to talk myself out of the ticket from the speed-cams here in Germany.

Unfortunately any mod to the plates here is illegal, to include a plastic plate cover. More unfortunate, as you know, the camera captures your face as well, and with a GT350, we may not be too challenging to track lol. Still, will post if I find it.

Got my first one today. 70 in a 50. It was on a back road where there is normally no one. It's a 6 Lane road. I was going quite a bit faster, as this is the back way to the track and I was being a jackass. He was cool about it. Asked lots of questions about the car and wanted to take a look inside. He could have easily taken me to jail if he'd wanted to. All I will say is, the escort max 360 pretty much sucks. I'll be returning it and going back to a v1. Stupid thing didn't even beep once.

Cn: cop was cool about it and I'd rather hire a lawyer to get it reduced than hire one to get me out of jail.

I will be hiring a lawyer though. I was doing something wrong, fully admit it. I would prefer to not have the points on my license though. usually they will change it to a non-moving violation that is 30 or 40 dollars more when you take this route.

I need my record to be as clean as possible, as I'm hoping to do the bull run with a buddy next year.

Holy smokes that's steep for 20mph on a 6 lane road outside of town--and only 70mph at that.

its crazy. I'm a reserve officer in the parish that i was pulled over in, but the state police give zero preferential treatment to officers or their families.

Its a standard policy for them.

Any other state, as soon as the officer sees my badge, a few jokes are made, i'm asked to be safe, then my captain yells at me for costing him a favor at a date to be determined.

In my home state, no such luck. Oh well. my fault, my stupid tax.

I got a ticket the other day, but only because the driver side tail/brake light unit had failed at 1300 miles. I usually have positive experiences with police - but this was not one of those times. The officer was basically just so upset to see a 25 year old own and drive a GT350 that he just had to find something to write me for. It's not the end of the world but really frustrating to be paying a $35 "admin fee" for the fix-it ticket that was not deserved at all. :frusty:

If you got nothing on your record, you should be fine. At worst, PBJ with the fine.

Also, look into the Radenso Pro SE detector. I've been running one for a few months. It tested better than the Escort Redline. It is crazy sensitive.
