GT350R Mustang Has “Weapons Grade Superpower” Says Ben Collins

As we first reported, the GT350R Mustang made its UK debut during the Goodwood Festival of Speed hill climb, piloted by former Stig, Ben Collins.

That historic run started off, well squirrely, since it was apparently Collins’ first time behind the wheel of the vehicle — and, expecting more or less the same as the standard 2015 Mustang GT that he has driven, it was clear Collins did not expect to have to adjust his driving to that degree to account for the added power.

In an interview after the GT350R hillclimb, Collins gave some colorful commentary about the trouble he had at the outset when he nearly drove the GT350R completely off the road.  He also hinted that weight could be a pleasant surprise — calling it “light as a squirrel” combined with the vehicle’s “weapons grade superpower.”
