One of the must-do items for every Mustang enthusiast is a tour of Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Flat Rock, Michigan where Ford builds and assembles the new 2015 Mustang.
While there is no substitute for a live experience, here is an excellent video that provides an overview of the tour for those unable to attend in person.
From the stamping shop which creates the hoods, body panels, trunk lids and door panels for the new Mustang to the body shop, assembly line, engine decking line and finally the customer acceptance line for quality control — this 15 mile journey through the plant gives us a glimpse of the many thousands of processes, equipment, robotics and people that go into building these incredible vehicles that we love.
