Vargas TurboCharger Technologies customer and M6G member perfweld (Mark L.) just reset the 1/4 mile world record for a 2015 Mustang EcoBoost with stock motor and engine internals.
This 2015 Mustang EcoBoost with Vargas Turbocharger Technologies Stage 2 turbo upgrade and Lund Racing tune ran a 10.7 @ 127 MPH with OEM block and internals, OEM heads and valvetrain, as well as the factory intake manifold.
The vehicle’s VTT Stage 2 turbocharger kit was developed from the ground up using 100% new parts from the compressor housing to the bearing and turbine housing which were all engineered to provide the full flow of a much larger turbo while still retaining proper fitment in the stock location.
It utilizes E85 via an auxiliary fuel system, a Circle D Specialties converter and big/little drag radial setup, which has been tuned to be a daily driver, but clearly capable of being faster than some EcoBoost Mustang built engines.
To make the record run even more impressive, this 2015 Mustang EcoBoost has the full stock interior and Solo Performance exhaust system, weighing in at 3740 pounds with the driver.
Check out the modifications list below and video of the VTT Stage 2 EcoBoost Mustang Stock Motor 1/4 Mile World Record Pass.
