This video is equal parts exciting and saddening as we see M6G member bakerjd (Josh) blow his twin turboed 5.0L engine while hitting 1000 WHP on the dyno. It happened during a dyno session to optimize the tune while upping the turbo boost.
Engine failure is always a real risk when pushing an engine with stock internals to such high power levels, but it’s helpful to the Mustang community when there are owners willing to push the envelope to determine the limits of the stock engine. Watch the video and commentary inside.
