The Shelby GT350R Mustang has made landfall! In what seemed like an eternity of vehicle holds, delays and lack of solid information about the arrival of the track-thrashing ‘R’ variant, we now have our first GT350R delivered to an M6G member (Treynor), who also picked up a regular GT350.
If you are a Mustang fan, that name may sound familiar to you as Ben Treynor has become famous in these parts, not only for his passion for Mustangs (he owns a Boss 302S and 2014 FR500 Cobra Jet) but also the incredible company those vehicles keep alongside some of the world’s finest exotics.
While Treynor’s collection of ultra high-end sports cars speaks for itself in the photo he shared with M6G, a thousand words do not adequately capture our excitement, and that of our community, at seeing the GT350R finally make its way home to an actual owner, especially one with such a unique perspective of vehicles and track experience.
Seen here, Treynor’s GT350R looks right at home in his new garage, wearing Triple Yellow and black over-the-top racing stripes with red borders to go with the signature red Cobra emblem in the unique GT350R grille.
And since you are wondering if the performance of the 350R is deserving of a place among the yellow exotic sports cars whose space it shares in Ben’s newly completed garage — such as his Ferrari 458 Speciale — the engineers at Ford Performance would happily remind you that they benchmarked that exact vehicle for the R.
