With new owners now steadily rolling in, it was only a matter of time before the 2015/2016 Shelby GT350 was placed on a scale for some hard numbers.
The weight-conscious folks at Vorshlag got a chance to weigh the 2015 GT350 with track pack on a four-corner digital scale and it came in at 3,798-pounds with a full tank of gas and removal of all “trunk junk” — spare tire, inflation tools, jack and trunk mat.
With larger wheels and tires, large iron 15.5″ 2-piece rotors with 6-piston Brembos up front and 15.0″ 2-piece rotors with 4-piston calipers out back, including transmission and engine oil coolers and MagneRide dampers equipped on the Track Package, it is no surprise that the GT350 put back some of the lightweighting efforts from the Ford Performance engineers, and then some.
