The 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang was teased as early as last July with a rendering of their new design based on the new S550 platform. With the Saleen order guide already released, many expected the 2015 Saleen 302 to be shown at last year’s SEMA show in November.
Of course, we know that never happened. The company’s financial troubles have been widely publicized and likely delayed their S550 Mustang plans.
If you were worried that Saleen would pull the plug on the project however, have no fear — the company’s website has already started the countdown to February 20, 2015, when it will debut its S302 Black Label Mustang at a public event in Los Angeles.
So what do these cars look like in the flesh? GetYourWheels spotted this prototype Saleen S550 Mustang test car with its signature grille and Saleen lettering on the windshield and rear decklid. No doubt this is not the complete or final design based on the teaser images Saleen has shown us, but it certainly wears some of the parts previewed last year.
