7th Gen Mustang S650 Previews by Chazcron! (@ Mustang7G.com)

Latest update from @chazcron

This is 20 hours in. Its mostly 3D rendered, but I photoshopped headlights and grilles and minor touchups.. From the windshield back, I used my 2015 Stang model, so don't go looking for side scoops or any other updates.

The gif is an overlay of the 3D model at the angle of the leaked pic that I decamo-ed and cleaned up. Things line up for the most part.

I don't have my Mustang wheel model anymore, so I had to go with what I have. I know it is practically sacrilege, but those are my 2020 Corvette wheels.

I hope y'all find this angle more appealing.

I'm also not a fan but everyone has their own taste. A lot of people said the 2018 refresh was ugly but I think it's one of the coolest Mustangs yet (hence getting one).

Although it does look like they're going in the direction of the charger. My coworker parks his daytona right next to mine. My s550 looks like a light little sports car, by comparison lol. I will give it that the charger's larger shape is more imposing, due to its size. Maybe that's the route Ford is trying to go?

Oof…this is why I put my 2022 order in because I’m afraid they’ll lose the wonderfully aggressive look I fell in love with. I have a feeling they’re going into a more… luxury car direction? Describing it as “wearing a suit” is a great analogy.

In truth I don’t HATE it as a style, so I guess we’ll have to confirm in September.

And to be faaaiirrr…that’s also admittedly a really unflattering angle and the equivalent of an accidental front-facing selfie shot, but for a car lol

The render quality is good, but it is an ugly car IMO. Not chazcron's fault at all. I googled them and he's been spot on with all his past renderings of the C8, 2016 Camaro, 2015 Mustang, etc. I will say that with the Mustang and Camaro renderings, the real car looked a bit better than the render, so there's that glimmer of hope that this happens with the new Mustang as well. But yeah, based on the spyshot, this thing is homely and unathletic looking.

To me this S650 generation seems to be shaping up to just be a refreshed front end with an updated interior. All the spyshots show the same greenhouse and shape as the S550. Motortrend reported drivetrain carryovers. That's fine, as I wouldn't expect an entirely new engine lineup, except it would be cool to get a Gen 4 Coyote in the GT. I'll wait to reserve judgement, but Ford appears to even be doing less than Nissan did with the new Z. At least that car received all new bodywork (though on the same chassis with the same hard points), new drivetrain, completely new interior, etc.
