Steven Spielberg’s Need for Speed movie, starring a modified 2014 GT500 and a cameo of the 2015 Mustang GT in Race Red which Ford went to great lengths to hide during production, debuted in theaters nationwide this weekend. The movie opened in third place at U.S. box offices, grossing $17.8 million nationwide. As reported by the WSJ, despite the slow start domestically, the film has already grossed $45.6 million in the 37 markets where it has opened and topped the charts in notable locations such as China, where it opened #1 at the box office.
