JPC & CPE 2015 EcoBoost Mustang Project

Our friends at JPC Racing and Custom Performance Engineering have joined forces to embark on a project with one goal in mind — to push the EcoBoost 2.3L Mustang to a level of performance where it is not only competitive with its big brother Coyote V8, but also the best bang-for-buck performance bargain available.

With its history of sub-10 second street cars and familiarity with direct injection turbo motors, this collaboration tapped into the well of performance gains that Ford left on the table with the 2015 4-cylinder Mustang.

To start, a precision turbo was fabricated and built to improve flow for big power gains.  The turbo has been mated to a custom CP-E Atmosphere turbo kit with an external wastegate, vent to atmosphere blow-off valve, custom downpipe, and all the plumbing needed to bring it together.  To properly mate this large turbo with the factory ECU, the two lead calibration engineers from JPC Racing and CP-E worked together to perfect the tune.
