Unless you’ve sprung for the carbon fiber track package, the only way for an owner of a 2020 GT500 to obtain the rear seat delete now that it’s no longer offered by Ford Performance, would be to obtain it through the Ford dealer parts network and perform the install yourself.
As it turns out, M6G user Epiphany did just that and documented for us in exceptional detail how to properly remove the factory rear seats and install the rear seat delete. He even meticulously weighed and calculated the removed parts and hardware to determine a net savings of 31.4LBS from the installation of the Ford Performance rear seat delete in a standard 2020 GT500 Mustang.
