This isn't about how close to E you can get. What I mean is, when you first fill up/top off and you start the car, what does it read?

My GT had displayed 235-242, most recently 238.

Depends on Avg. Mpg. If im averaging 20mpg than about 308 ful tank.

Mine usually says 300-320. I average about 20-21mpg though per tank, and fill up soon after the warning light comes on.

No, not really.

To me if you top off, then the displayed number = GALS * MPG. But where does the MPG value come from? Last tank? Trip 1? Trip 2? Realtime MPG avg? What about the initial tank fill when there was no previous MPG to base it on? EPA rating?

I'm sweating the small stuff, I know, but some of you are seeing 300+

the miles to empty is based on your most recent 20 mile average.

You could have a tank that shows 21 mpg, but if you spent the last 15 minutes doing burn outs and 1/4 mile runs your DTE calculation will be significantly lower than a full 20 mpg average.

my DTE on a full tank top off is usually 300-320

This is about where my car lives. 18 to 17 MPG. And my driving is usually along the beach, back roads.. not a lot of prolonged interstate travel.

Mine says upper 200s but can easily get 400 miles on a tank if I'm traveling

Record so far is 490 miles to E. Regularly around 400.

Usual freeway (typical driving) is about 25

Spirited driving (local, twisties) is about 11.5

Miles to empty? TOO SOON LOL
