Follow up: He is going to be in for a very long wait. Most parts are on backorder. I ordered half shafts in December and I just got the last one about a week ago. Same with a front bumper piece. I hope he is a patient man.

You are not kidding. He should have bought one with ADM , it would have been cheaper. lol.

I concur, Jaime...I don't see how someone could bring that car back to life even with 60g's in their pocket. And then there's the crazy parts shortage that Tom mentioned.

I do hope it works out to the buyer's satisfaction.

Let's not even talk about the fact that it will be a savaged title and never be worth anything again.

Now, if it's just about clicks, views and revenue on top of the enjoyment of the project.... that's another story. That in itself will be fun.

If the engine and DCT are OK, he won't loose. But IMHO, it is foolish to try to put that car back together. Its probably better off to be parted out. Wing... wheels.... engine.... DCT.... seats... misc.

There was a guy on YouTube that rebuilt a Hellcat Challenger that had completely burned to the ground. It was crazy to try and fix it but it was all about getting people to watch the videos.

I agree that he more than likely won't go over the cost to buy one, it's just afterwards it will not be worth the same value, due to the salvaged title.

Rebuilding the car will be a lot of fun for them, and get a lot of people watching, which is what I think they are after the most.
