Regardless, a used zl1 for 35k is a better deal than a new SS for low 40s yeah?

To be clear, I believe the OP is talking about the 5th Gen ZL1 (given the prices), which took a huge price hit in the used market. That's a 580HP 6.2, the auto is a 6-speed, it's a good bit slower vs. the 6th Gen ZL1.

Way back I cross shopped the 5th Gen ZL1, convertibles, when the prices started to tank they were a good buy, and like most factory FI cars, it's a tune/pulley/exhaust away from another 100HP.

Right, they run mid 12s? Which btw, is pretty fantastic for a $35k car... but a used Zl1 is surely faster than a stock 6th gen SS.
