when I look at the LMR wheel and tire combo, they show 19x10s with 285s on all four. Or, they show 19x10 and 19x11 with 285 front and 305 rear.
Didn't Performance Package Level 2 come with 19x10.5 wheels and 305 treads on the front?

...And I could swear I read posts asking "Why do the wheels stick out like that? It's only a 10.5" width."

Tire Rack says that 19x10 is too big for the fronts and that 285s will rub.
LMR is selling the wheels with 285s on them so I have to assume they are not going to rub.
I don't know how the Tire Rack guesses what tire width will fit a car but it's a guess, and they're guessing on the low side.

Over the years I've ordered a few sets of 225s for my Nissan 240SX. Every time, someone from Tire Rack customer service contacts me to say that's too wide for my car. Winning that argument is easier now that I can tell them to STFU and look up the last set of tires I ordered for that car.

yes

because the offset is wrong. You need 10.5et35 to properly tuck but will still poke very slightly. with the proviso that you can't run anything wider than 285. Wider tires or shallower offsets means big(er) camber to tuck the top of the wheels. Or GT350-style fenders.

Gorilla for lug nuts accept no other
The lug nuts they sent were small enough to fit all the way down into the holes in the rim but the pitch was too small as well and they would not screw on. The stock lugs don't fit on the wheels at all. I have some 14mx1.5 lug nuts here but they do not fit all the way down in the holes the way the smaller ones did. I am thinking I need 12mx1.5 instead of 14m x 1.5

Unless you did something ‘really’ weird with your studs, you won’t need 12mm x 1.5 … :like:

It’s likely you just need a design with a smaller bulge :like:

Agreed, if they are stock studs they will be 14mm.

I've got like 7 sets of what they call "tuner" lug nuts. Come to Manassas and you can have some.

19x10 et 35 fit perfectly on the front and rear with with either 275/40 or 285/35 absolutely no rubbing.
Ran them on 2 s550s, first with Continental Dws06, second with Michelin pilot as-4.
Any reason or extra benefit of running the 275/40 vs 285/35 or just purely for the taller side wall?
I'm assuming the 275/40 will fill out the wheel well more for looks?

NYC roads are reason enough for the slightly taller sidewall.
Also, it fills the wheel arch perfectly and is totally flush.

So I am looking to put new wheels and tires on my 2021 CS/GT. I am looking at some SVE wheels from LMR, but I have seen a bunch of reviews about the Nittos they have with the wheels and think I can do better with Michelin or Firestone or even Generals. The thing is, when I look at the LMR wheel and tire combo, they show 19x10s with 285s on all four. Or, they show 19x10 and 19x11 with 285 front and 305 rear.
The stock S550 in my garage has PzeroNero 255 30r 19s.
Tire rack says that 19x10 is too big for the fronts and that 285s will rub.
LMR is selling the wheels with 285s on them so I have to assume they are not going to rub.

The question is...who is right?

What aftermarket wheel/tire combos are YOU running, and are you getting any rubbing issues with larger than 255 front/rear?

What is the widest rear tire you can run without rubbing or a lot of poke? I would like to go with the 19x10 + 19x11 wheel combo with 285/305 or maybe 315 but since this is a purchase I cannot return, I don't want to get burned.

Opinions please! Facts are even better!
Thanks!
I just got the staggered (19x10 / 19x11) SVE R350 - I have 275s up front and 325 out back. I am stock ride height, I have the SVE springs in the garage waiting for time to put them on. No rubbing.

For those that are running the staggered 19” with the Indy 325’s on the rear, do you feel that they tuck in nicely compared to a 305? LMR has this setup in now and my only concern would be if the 325’s would poke too far. Thanks.

The 325 definitely "poke" a bit past the fender compared to a 305 that tucks in perfectly. Nothing major, but it's definitely there.
