I've seen pics of a turned finish style dash in the pics of the 2018 interior, and what appeared to be some production cars. Is this an actual Ford part, or is there any information behind it?
It's standard on Mustang GT's, I believe. I was kinda bummed that it didn't come on the GT350's... I always liked that finish on the early eighties Trans Ams...
Yes, that type of dash fascia also comes with all 2015-current EB Performance Packs too
I always get nice compliments about how good it looks because it compliments the rest of the interior very nicely.
If you're looking for the parts, they can be found on eBay for decent prices and it's a direct swap for any S550 that has the optional Performance Pack center gauges.
I believe it's FR3Z6304338FC. However, at $1,347 retail ($1,887 list)--without the other three, smaller dash trim pieces to match it--I'm not willing to order it and confirm.
Other than my Recaros, the dash pieces are my favorite interior aspect of my PP/GT. What's more, is that it is actual aluminum and not plasti-luminum..LOL

Odd man out here. When I was trying to decide between a GT/PP and GT350, factoring cost to upgrade the GT and all, the interior of the GT was a huge minus. I didn't like the woven dash, reminded me of the 80s Alpha Paper that turned colors as you moved it. The chrome highlights everywhere also turned me off.
While the GT350 in itself is a different animal compared to the GT and the Voodoo motor was the main factor, the GT350's interior won me over without a doubt. Love the brushed satin black dash and bronzish trim on the controls. LOVE IT!!
