My son has a hockey tournament in Detroit this weekend. If worthwhile, I wanted to stop into my car's birthplace at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant as I will be staying very close by and it is literally ~200 yards off I-75. I know getting a tour is only a super rare special group event that won't happen. Anyone been there? Worth stopping? Can you get anywhere close?
Worth driving my 350 there (~300 miles) instead of my beater and get pics in front? My dream would be to show up at a change of shift and have some of the workers that manufacture these great cars sign the inside of my trunk lid or something... :ford:
Also, if I can see any 350's, happy to take some recon pictures if any members who may have one on the lot there is interested (especially all those R's rolling out!). I will have my professional 70-300mm hockey lens with me.:coolphotos:
Any input appreciated. Don't want to waste time if no way to see anything...
