And I've heard the opposite, moving to a TT and I trust my source. He might be wrong, but hasn't been so far.

Boost+ 12-1 compression+pump gas=Boom and smoke.

12:1 is static compression - actual dynamic compression will depend on the timing of the valve events.

Remember that the engine has TiVCT

They did not say but I assume it was 93.
They upgraded the injectors

Quite impressive for 9 lbs. of boost. But the CR will limit how far they can turn it up-before having to open the engine to drop the compression. At the end on the show John Urist did say they were going to turn it up to 1,000 hp before returning it to the owner-a guy name Guthrie(I wonder if he's related to Janet Guthrie)?
