Looking for advice on winter wheel/tire options for my R. I’d like to protect the carbon fiber wheels and throw on some winter wheels/tires so I can rip in temps below 40. Any advice would be appreciated.

Michelin Alpins on a square setup, non-carbon fiber. You'll need spacers on the front.

Can you elaborate a bit for me? Sorry. This is the first car I’ve needed a winter setup on.

For snow tires - and I mean real snow tires that'll get used in snow - Ford makes the following pair of rims for the GT350 and GT350R:

This is from the Levittown website. Put a pair of 265/35's on the front and a pair of 275/35's on the back and you've got snow tires that match the same number of turns per mile as your OEM tires. If you want a bit more road clearance, put 265/40 and 275/40's on - the speedo will read low, but you'll get about an extra 1/2" of ground clearance.

I have the lmr.com wheels. SVE R350 black “Fits GT350/R” 2x10” & 2x11” $999.99 - Make sure that you get the ones that say "fits GT350/R". They go on perfect. I'm using Ford's recommendation as to tire sizes with 275/40ZR-19 Rear & 255/40ZR-19 Front Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ all-season tires.

465 Miles on it in 2 days - I haven't driven it with the original wheels/tires but honestly I question whether it would be worth swapping them back on even in the summer unless I'm going to the track. The car handles and grips great with these slightly smaller all-seasons, they are cheaper and should last waaay longer.

Wow, you guys are really going to drive the R in snow? Could that possibly caused damage to the front splitter?

Should make for an effective snow plow...
