Hey all, two quick things I found a local
Set of four Ford 19” wheels pulled from a previously sold 2016 Mustang. Rims are in decent shape. Minor rash on one spot on one rim. Tires are Pirelli PZero 255/40 ZR19 with 5000 miles and TPMS sensors are included. Would these rims fit the front and rear of a 2019 GT Premium PP1?

I am thinking about offering $600 for those wheels, keeping the Pirelli’s as spares and going with Bilzzarks as I live in Chicago and have about a 31 mile round trip commute to work every day.

suggestions please, I am stupid when it comes to tires and wheel off sets so I apologize in advance if this topic has been beat to death before.

Picture of my new ride is attached.

Is that 2016 mustang a PP1? As for the tires, any winter tire from a well respected brand will be fine. Personally I would go for a "performance" winter tire, which will sacrifice a little bit of grip in snow (but will still be much better than all seasons) for better performance on the dry.

The wheels appear to be the optional 19x8.5 19 inch wheels that were on NON Performance pack GT’s In 2016.

I also live in the Chicago area and have Blizzaks and absolutely love them. They perform really well in the snow. Cruised past several struggling pickup trucks and front wheel cars with no issues. Performance in the dry does leave a bit to be desired as mentioned above but you won't regret it in the snow and slippery conditions

Sorry I'm not familiar with those particular wheels so I don't wanna risk giving you the wrong info. But I do know that just because a wheel is 19" does not guarantee it will fit over the brembo brakes on the PP1.

I am in Ohio and i use Cont. DWS 06 tires in 255/40/19 for winter tires. I got a smoking deal on some ford 19in Eco premium wheels with ford tpms for 450 shipped last year.

Youll be fine. bought a worn set of 18x8 steel rims w/235 wide Blizzak WS80 cheap just to test in snow this year. We get quite a bit more snow here than Chi-town.

These had 30% tread left and from 2012. I was able to drive anywhere with no issues. They have me plenty of confidence on hills turns and hwys.

I'll be selling my daily Civic Si and using my mustang in winter from now on. No more garage queen for me.

The 18X8 fit on a PP1 with the Brembo brakes?

Thats a 2nd no for me. I have a base GT. Just describing this car really surprised me how well it handles in snow. Even on worn out winter tires :)

I run MIchelin Pilot Alpin 5 in 245/40-19 as my winter tire on stock ecoboost PP wheels (9.0 x 19). They are stretched just a bit but drive great in cold weather and rain or snow. They would fit really well on an 8.5 x 19 wheel. The narrower tires typically provide better snow traction than wider tires.

This was my Dinan M3 with 245/40-18 Michelin Pilot Alpin 3s. No garage queen. 90k miles in 2.5 years. No problem passing 4x4s, SUVs and cops when the weather got nasty.
