Hi guys, I have an option for 4 Continental all season tires. Fronts are 245/35 zr19 and rears are 285/30 zr19. Definitely different than stock but will they work for limited winter use? Thanks for your assistance...

Depends on which all season tire, as far as how well it will work.
I Would recommend ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus
The tire recommend will be OK in the snow while it has plenty of tread on it but once the S wears off, it will not do well in the snow. The D stands for dry W stands for wet and the S snow. As the tires wear the letters will wear down from S then W then D. This will tell you what kind of conditions your tires will be good in.

The depth of snow and whether or not you’re gonna end up plowing it will make a big difference too as to whether you can drive your car.

The reason I recommend the DWS06 tire is because you can get it in a good high speed rating because our cars will do a minimum of 156 mph and then more once you have the Nanny/governor removed, if you get a tune.

Does your car have a splitter or or splitters on the front? If so, probably not a good idea to drive in snow that’s gonna be deep enough that your splitter is gonna be plowing it.

The other thing to think about is do you wanna be driving your beautiful car in conditions that are gonna make the car rust much more quickly? The salt and water will likely eat your car.

The Tire Rack is a great place to get educated about tires and to buy tires from!

285/30/19 is really short compared to stock and there’s not a lot of sidewall there. I prefer more sidewall in winter, a little extra protection against potential potholes that you might not see due to snow.

But the 285/30 is 2” shorter than the stock non-HP tire size…

Those tires aren't even 26" tall...they would technically work but they are too small for what I would want to run.

Mags 1 is right, having a larger aspect/taller side wall is gonna give you a certain amount of protection for your Wheels and Suspension.

Really appreciate the quality information. Big help...Also, if there is significant snow or salt on the road then I won't use the
Mustang but definitely will when clear and cold.

Also, these tires are in very good condition and essentially free for me but do not want a dangerous setup...sounds like this may not be ideal but should work ok.

This is the exact tire and I have used them previously. Just concerned about the size. Agreed...too much snow or salt this car will not be on the road.

This is the exact tire I'm referring to in my post I've used them before and was very satisfied.

They would physically work, sure, I mean, tires are tires as long as they dont rub, right? Understand you're not using them in the snow, and the DWS06 is an excellent high performance all season tire.

But these are 1.3" shorter F and 1.7" shorter R. Thats gonna lower the chassis of the car .65" F and .85" R. As these cars already have scraping tendencies, lowering the car almost 3/4" F and almost 1" R, I'd be real hesitant to put em on my car.

Since this is a large size difference, you'd need to update Forscan with those sizes so the electrons dont go nuts.

My take: sell em and get something that fits a little better.

Thanks for all the comments... Update is that these Continental winter tires are on the Mach1. The look of these tires is ok but the performance of the tire is fine so far.

Tires are shorter than the stock tires so there's a wider gap between tire and fender. But the car feels just as planted (maybe more) with the wider tires all the way around. Definitely satisfied...
