I store stuff in the trunk of my car every winter and then just change out the entire suspension every Spring 🤷‍♂️ problem solved.

Worried when I get the car the suspension will be bent and the car will drive crooked
Tough crowd. You got people to laugh; that's worth its weight in gold.

No concerns here. Considering the weight of the car, 100 lbs / 45 kgs is not a problem.

People here and elsewhere intentionally travel with extra weight over winter with no ill effects.

The following provide insight of the Mustang's weight distribution, including side-to-side.

The fact that it takes about 20+ years to actually measure spring sag, is the important fact.

It wont but I can tell you what will, (I did this to my Audi wagon back in late 2011), My wife took our turck and left me with our 2004 audi A6 wagon. I had to go pick up A large amount of floor tile for a job my brother in law had ordered. So I took the wagon. The weight of the tile was about 1000lbs. When I dropped tile off , I noticed that the rear of the car did not come back. It over compressed the springs and I had to have springs, shocks , lower control arms replaced. So 100 lbs I would not worry about, just dont store flooring tile in the trunk.

You are fine, nothing to worry about. I carry around about 150 pounds of junk in my trunk year round.

The junk in my trunk:

I've driven around for 3-4 months in winter with 150lbs of rock salt or kitty litter for rear end weight over the wheels for traction in any of my prior and existing Mustangs.... never ever an issue with additional weight in the rear regarding suspension.

Let's do some math.
If the car is ~3800 pounds, and assuming 25% is at each corner, then that's 950# each wheel. 100# in the trunk is an additional 50# each wheel. That's only 5% more loading.

I daily drive with the donut spare, and things like jumper cables, tire inflator, breaker bar, and some detailing supplies. Gotta be at least 60# right there.

I'd be more worried about flat-spotting the tires during storage. I just put mine up for the winter, and aired up the tires to 45#.

I carry a spare engine in the trunk of my Mustang in the winter. It's great for extra traction and you never know where you will be when you may need to do an engine swap.

I drive my mustang every day with 100lbs of tools in the back. I drive it hard and even every 60-130 I've done has been with the weight back there. Your fine parking the car. No worries.
Happy to hear that I'm not the only person doing this lol

Removing the entire chassis during winter really saves struts. Especially when you remove trans, block and rear diff. Saves about 2000 pounds.
Good for racing. 😂
