Will a Lund tuned 5.0 returned back to the stock tune run without blowing up on a mix of 1/2 tank of E85 and 1/2 tank of 93?

the engine will survive just fine at 'usual and customary' DD use.
If you're going to send it down the strip, you'll probably throw codes or see timing changes hit the limits.

Stock tune (Gen3 motor) can handle (ie. run and not blow up the engine) E20 or so and possibly as much as E30. You're at E45-E48 so be light with the throttle.

No, the max a stock tune can realistically run is ~E15. Anymore than that and it won't run right if at all.

I think the 2018+ cars can handle higher than that. I run E20 and my car runs like a scalded dog. I run 2 gallons of E85 and 2 gallons of VP101 street blaze. Gets me to about 94 octane.

This...I tried E25 and I threw an 02 sensor code but car ran fine.

This is a 2020. I will literally be at half a tank when I fill it with 93 and want to flash the stock tune. Guess the tuner goes with the car. Fu*k.

(In the Sprit of the Price is Right) "I say the coyote can run up to E20 on the stock tune, Drew!"

Drew Carey : "Let's pull the cover to see how much alcohol a stock coyote can tolerate!"

you can't find 2 hours of highway cruising to drain the tank further? you don't need sleep. Or go syphon the gas out of your tank.

And don't trade in a vehicle with a tune or tuner. The tuner will get stolen/lost.

Meh, it's not that important. I'll just leave a note in the bag with the tuner in the glove box. The new owner can contact Lund if necessary. I'm not really wanting to tell the dealer it's tuned before trading it in.

it won't survive the dealer handover. The buyer will now have an E85-tuned car that they'll keep putting 87 in the tank.

So at minimum reflash it to stock, and the liklihood of problems is reasonably low for the next 200 miles when it'll get diluted to inconsquential.

I re-flashed the flex tune in, put the tuner in a sack in the glove box with a note explaining it's tuned, Lund's contact info and my name and phone number for questions. I also wrote on the outside of the sack, in plain view when you open the glove box, containing the tuner not to remove it from the car and that it's tuned for 93 and E85.

Am I giving people too much credit? I don't want to hurt the car running it on the stock tune with half a tank of E85. Ugh.

I'll take the long way to work in the morning, the long way to the dealership and hot rod the car a bit. I'll top the car off with 93, flash the stock tune in after filling it and hope for the best.

Good on you for leaving the tuner!

There’s too many a-holes that don’t and screw the next guy.

The dealer will confiscate the tuner. You know they go and clean a car out on receipt. So zero chance the tuner gets to next owner.

The only way to pass on a tune is private party sale or the dealer passes on current owners contact info on approval.
