Considering trading in my 15 gt for a 17 gt350. I have a winter set with 245/45-19 Blizzaks on 19X8.5 Black AMR wheels all around. I know it will look ridiculous especially with 245s in the rear. But my question is, will they fit? With no strange rubbing etc. I assume the lug nut pattern. is the same.

Don't want to hear anybody saying that I shouldn't drive a gt350 in the winter :headbonk: I know the downsides. Not what I'm asking here.

I don't know about those wheels, but the tires sound fine. The wheels may or may not clear the brakes. That will be the biggest hurdle is finding 19 inch rims that clear the Brembo calipers.

I would say no... very few 19's will fit that are not high end wheels (or designed just for GT350) because of brake clearance and the GT350 also does not have common offsets (and are different front and rear).

Negative. That offset coupled with the loss of 2" in diameter overall isn't going to clear the monsters that live behind the circle cages.

Its only a 0.6" difference in diameter for the 245/45R19 to the 295/35R19. But the bigger issue as already mentioned is the brake clearance.

What do you think I was referring to when I said "monsters?" An animated movie? ;)

So what wheel and tires are recommended for winter?

Are more 20 winter tires availible?

From the Supplemental Manual (pg 43)

USING WINTER TIRES
The original equipment tires on your Ford Performance vehicle are designed for maximum performance in dry and wet summer conditions. They are not designed for winter use on ice or snow and cannot be used with tire chains. If you will be operating your vehicle in these conditions, winter or all-season tires must be used.
• Use winter tires with a 93 load index or higher for all models.
• Do not operate your vehicle above posted speed limits while using winter tires. Never perform high speed driving with winter tires.
• Do not exceed the speed rating of your tire.
Please call the Ford Performance Info Center at 1-800-367-3788 for specific winter tire recommendations

Also, there are more any sized tires as compared with the 19s
