I’m looking at doing the same. 315/35/20 on a 10.5 rim. How did you end up liking the 315’s? Or did you switch to 305’s? How about on the front? I was told 275 is max on a GT front. Thanks!

If you have the right wheels, you can definitely go larger on front. I'm running a 20x10 ET35 front wheel with a 285/35-20 tire (FWIW, a 20x11 ET50 rear with a 305/35-20).

Rims are Vossen HF-5, 20x9.5 F and 20x10.5 R. I’ve been told the 315’s will work on the 10.5, although not traditional. Looking at Conti DWS06 tires. I believe the offset on the 315’s is 45mm.

I have those same wheels with OEM stock suspension 275/35/20 and 305/35/20. I really like how it came out and in my case will not go larger.

Here is a pic so you have reference of what i am talking about.

Thanks! The picture really helps a lot. Love your car and how the rims look!!! That is sharp!!
Curious though, did you look at the 315’s, or is there another reason you didn’t go larger, beyond how it looked?

To be honest i considered it but there were 4 reasons that avoided me to go that route:

1. Most of the pics and what i read said that the 315 is best fitted on 11" wheels.
2. Also i like to have a lithe bulge on the tires to avoid any scraping on the rims.
3. I didn't want the car to look funny with that large of difference between the 275 and 315.
4. As i didn't want to lower the car yet that made me stick with 35 series to avoid the gap on the fenders. 315 will be lower in diameter. Not by much but it is.

Finally, as i was convinced with not going larger on front due to the streets overhere in PR are not in good conditions that made my decision a little easier.

Hope that helps but it is really a personal preference.

Thanks, looks nice!! Rims look good with the car! Assume it is lowered as well. How much?
It does looks solid, but keep in mind that's a 315/30, a 315/35 is getting a bit tall.

3. I didn't want the car to look funny with that large of difference between the 275 and 315.
FWIW, a PP1 car, front to rear tire ratio, is the same as my 285/35, 305/35 setup (well, 0.04" difference). I didn't want a big sidewall difference front-vs-rear (or vs. the factory setup).

I also went with a 35 series for a touch more sidewall, if I was going 315s on a lowered car, I'd definitely drop down to a 30 series like @10SpeedDemon (car looks awesome dude ...)

Thanks. Several of those were reasons I was also considering going to the 305’s, so you validated my thinking.

that much oversize (bulge) with a very soft sidewall tire (Conti) is not a good idea IMO. For street driving anything will work of course, but I wouldn't want to take that config to a track.

now THAT is done right! Size without offset information is not particularly helpful. How about wheel brand/model? Can you elaborate?
