I did. It seems you are the only person in the world who understands what the Nazi swastika means and that the Alt-Right group are all either confused lefties or picked up the wrong flag because they are moronsGo back and read my answer.
Extracted from America. Surely you've read Mein Kampf and know the story behind that and Hitler's upbringing in Austria.Racial purity, extracted from the American left, was only one plank in Hitlers horrifying platform.
I'm sure your lefty textbooks have well laid argument. No idea who he's debated nor do I care unless it's an actual intellectual such as Noam Chomsky. I don't need to ride on the coattails of revisionist history nutjobs to cherry-pick some information for me and be intellectually dishonest so that it confirms my ignorant biases
But you are free to debate me.
Just as the sky is blue the Nazis are politically right. Nationalism, traditionalism, racism, ethnocentrism, and militarism are all foundations of their ideology which are all right-leaning. Do you not wonder why the KKK are not left-leaning and are vehemently right-leaning?
Nazism explicitly rejects egalitarianism and materialism which are left-leaning ideologies. Nazism is the conservative reaction to the success of trade unionism and social democracy/equal rights. Nazis co-opted the language of their opposition for their own ends which was socialism.
I, by definition, consider anyone truly on the far right advocating racial purity to be a moron,I did. It seems you are the only person in the world who understands what the Nazi swastika means and that the Alt-Right group are all either confused lefties or picked up the wrong flag because they are morons
So Alt-right is a moronic group ?I, by definition, consider anyone truly on the far right advocating racial purity to be a moron,
I'm sure your dodgy conspiracy theorists textbooks have an equally well laid argumentI'm sure your lefty textbooks have well laid argument.
No, I don't think a centrist party will develop. As logical as that course may appear, I think the two party system is too ingrained in our DNA for that to happen. It would be more likely, with strong leadership, for the principal parties to isolate the fringes and press the representatives back to the center. This, however, would require strong leadership from both parties at the same time. Not sure how likely that is. While we are generally conservative by transatlantic standards, what could be considered a center-right party is held hostage by the extreme, as is the quasi-center left.I think we probably agree on a lot of things here anyway !
Do you think a centerist party may develop out of the chaos, as happened in France ?
I suspect I know the answer to your question !Extracted from America. Surely you've read Mein Kampf and know the story behind that and Hitler's upbringing in Austria.
Possibly, though I'll withhold judgement. I am simply struck by the idea that an American would attribute German Nazism and Soviet communism to the United States of America. Further struck by the wanton dismissal of historical fact, no matter how respectfully presented.I suspect I know the answer to your question !
Can you please define where the “religious right” sit in your opinion? Eg. Are they at the extreme end of the right or do they represent the more moderate aspect? He is a immigrant history professor without an axe to grind who routinely crushes lefty history professors with his command of facts at his speeches. The far right isn't what is threatening the USA, the far left is.
Changes of leadership can make dramatic differences within parties. Let's hope Trump and his family don't succeed in their attempts to take over the Republican party and turn it into a Trump party. No, I don't think a centrist party will develop. Define alt-right.So Alt-right is a moronic group ?
We certainly share political DNA with France, as much as it pains us to admit. Nevertheless, there are more dissimilarities between their parliamentarian and our congressional system than there are likenesses, particularly when it comes to party constructs. Minus the formation of an actual centrist party, however, your prediction may not be far off.Changes of leadership can make dramatic differences within parties. Let's hope Trump and his family don't succeed in their attempts to take over the Republican party and turn it into a Trump party.
The French example was not dissimilar where the extremes got so extreme they left a vacuum in the middle for Macron to capitalise on - although he isn't the most popular person in France at present !
