Just to clarify the car is actively cutting power.

anybody who needs instructions to do a donut probably shouldn’t have a car that can do them .

Although apparently I don’t have a car that can do them 🤣

This is very perplexing. It's giving you the heads up but the system remains active.

And yeah, will it burn out in place?

Have you tried pulling the fuse and doing donuts? I know pulling the fuse turn off everything that has to do with traction and power management.

Please send me a video if your car hits a curb or light post.

If I try to do donuts the car keeps completely killing the power, I had traction control and advance-trac turned off.

I have a video but I’m embarrassed to upload it to any video hosting site in case a challenger owner finds it.😖
don't ask how i know, but i bet you have launch control :) and you hit the Traction but and think, Yes traction control is off.... but well launch control goes into RPM mode when you turn off traction control which limits your Rev dumps, so you actually have to go into the menu and shut off the Launch control completely then, your traction control and enjoy burning up your tires :)

This might have been what happened to me, occasionally on an empty on ramp I'll dump the clutch in first get the tires burning and hold the brake for a bit to do a little burn out and then snag second to keep them burning as I get off the brake.

Last time I did that, it killed power... didn't know if it was from the clutch protection or what... all traction control is off (8 second method)

I'll turn off the launch control and see if that helps, even though I'm not sitting still etc.

This sounds plausible! Thanks I’ll check on it.

Take the advance trac off and LET-A-RIP TATORCHIP!
Both traction and advanced trac were off but car was still killing all the fun as soon as I tried to spin it around. It was odd.

Couple people had some good ideas on here
