New Rays wheels are mounted up.

Shes needs about another 3/4-1" drop to tighten up the stance and close the gap over the tires. That will be taken care of within the next 2 weeks. Waiting for some more parts to arrive, then it can be further dropped to the floor, to really set off the new look. Despite needing to be lowered, still sits well on the new wheels, offsets are aggressive and both the fronts and the rears are flush with the fenders without poke.

About 2 years ago I upgraded the from the stock base model GT brakes to the PP Brembos. At that time I also installed Baer 1 piece upgraded rotors (quite pricey for 1 piece rotors at $600 for the pair). I’ve been happy with them, with regards to performance and cosmetics - the zinc coating has held up well and there is no rust whatsoever on the rotors. Still plenty of life left in them too, so I’ll be listing them for sale as I am sure someone else would like to use them rather than them collecting dust in a box.

I wanted to keep that same look with the drilled and slotted, but upgrade to the 2 piece versions. Keep in mind my car is a relaxed weekend driver, with no track use. So, I went ahead and ordered the Baer Eradispeed rotors. These are also zinc coated, so they will stay looking great for years to come. For someone who fastidiously cleans their car, this was an important factor, albeit only a cosmetic benefit...

Nice to have the unsprung rotational weight savings, as well, of course :-) Not that it really matters for my cars general use.

I also threw in some new Z23 powerstop pads for daily driving duties : quiet as a mouse and should be lower dust.

Eradispeed 2 piece Rears are also going on the car , should have them installed soon.

Very nice! Read through the whole thread and have been quite impressed. Keep up the good work!

Side note: I've got some Rays in 15x8 for my civic project (please don't laugh)… Very high quality wheels by far.

Decided to buy a couple of extra wheels to keep incase I ever need a spare (or two)

Little bit spendy, but since these are not readily available wheels, I didn’t want to get caught out needing a spare and not being able to get one promptly. Figured a pair would be more useful than a single wheel.

Spent the evening installing the Baer Eradispeed rear rotors. Hot damn they look good installed, lol. Makes me wonder why I waited so long to pull the trigger; I've been eyeing up 2 piece rotors for the longest time.

The previous rear brake set up pictured below. Powerstop rotor (nothing wrong with the disc, just wanted to match up with the Baer fronts, so these had to make an early exit from the build), and stock pads.

As you can see, the base model GT rear caliper comes in a rather unflattering bare metal finish, which after 5 years had turned a somewhat brownish color.

And so off it came, and the Baer rotor was ready to find its new home...

In addition to fitting the new rotor, I spent quite some time cleaning the calipers. A combination of brake cleaner, a wire brush, sand paper, and some metal polish was used to restore the calper back to a bright silver as-new appearance...

Much better overall appearance....

And so I went out for a drive to break them in, using the Baer recommended proceedure. After quite some driving, I stopped at my local gas station to admire my brake upgrade.

Anyone in the SoCal area that wants some bad a$$ rotors for a very good price, hit me up.

I have these sitting in my garage. Baer slotted rotors. I ended up buying the drilled/slotted aswell, so I have this extra set. $1500 picked up. *May* ship, if they sit for a while, but much prefer local sale on these expensive beauties.

What rear diffuser is that? I’m absolutely in love with the way it looks. And I love the GT500 spoiler, super jealous of the build man!

After you had the GT350 track pack spoiler did you get another trunk lid? Or did the other spoiler cover the holes?
