Thanks bro!

Hey Jaime! Long time no speak my friend! Your inbound GT500 has me a little jealous .... living in Orange County, I can see my local dealer wanting $50K+ ADM, given they wanted +$30K for their GT350R in the showroom. One can dream...

As for my car, I plan on keeping her a few more years, so am sure I will continue to build her up. Next up I think is a professional paint correction and ceramic coating, before fall arrives.

I think next parts on the list are 2 piece rotors front and rear, just for weight savings and to look cool since the CF-10 are a very open wheel design and will show them off :-)

Hi Tim, yup its been too long. Yes, there's nothing like looking through those wheels and seeing beautiful brakes. I also has the CF10, then CF5V and my GT350R brakes popped with the nice openness of those wheels. You won't be disappointed.

Yes as you can imaging ADM is running rampant, unfortunately. I live in a pretty rural part of Massachusetts and I had to get my car from a dealer 40+ miles away. I did pay ADM but nowhere as much as the place you mentioned is asking, thank god!

I look forward to more posts my friend, be safe.

Long overdue paint correction and CarPro CQuartz ceramic coating applied today. Performed by a local company who used to do the paint maintenance on @SC_Ruby , hence they came well recommended.

Taking the road less travelled.

Wanted a set of Rays wheels since as long as I can remember (been a fan of the R34 GTR since I was a young teen, and Rays are the lock-in choice for the GTR tuners) and when these came up for sale locally, I couldn’t believe my luck.

A gentleman custom ordered these for his GT350, but they didn’t clear the front brake calipers. Luckily for me, they fit my Performance Pack Brembos with no issues.
He had to wait 6 months for these to be finished in Japan; they are tailor made for the S550 - perfect hub bore, lugs, offset, etc. I will say, they were tailor made for ME ... lol! :-)

All brand new in the wrapper. I love all the Japanese paperwork and tags that came with the wheels.

19x10.5 square, +35 offset. Aggressive fitment. There is 4mm from the back of the front rim to the front strut - just enough. Going to run 285/35/19 tires, not sure what brand yet. I like the firehawks for daily duties and are a lot easier on the wallet than Pilot 4S.

I did a quick test fit last night to make sure they fit before ordering tires. Money shot...

Oh, and matching gloss black Rays center caps are due in Monday.

Had to order those separately from a local Rays dealer, luckily they had a suitable set in stock.

Looks great. I had the Firehawks and they were great tires. Quiet and decent grip. The only draw back is the soft sidewalls.

I have not heard of these, but they look really nice! I can not wait to see them mounted. I know MPSS are $$$$ but there is not a better summer performance tire on the market IMHO. Anyway, I am sure what ever you choose will look mint on these.

Yes, that was my experience also. Quiet ride and very decent in both dry and wet.

Tires came in fast.

I’ve run the Indy 500 on a few sets of wheels now, and have nothing but good things to say about them.

One of my favorite aspects is the drag radial style tread pattern on the outer edge of the tire. Makes for a very smooth and clean looking side profile to the wheel once mounted.

These are 285/35, all 4 corners.

Walmart was hands down the best price - $200 a tire + tax. No where else could come close. And got free next day shipping, which was unexpected given that it is Xmas eve.

Center caps also came in, so the wheels are ready to go together.

Ordered from Evasive Motorsports. Could have gone the genuine fake eBay route, but wanted genuine Rays caps, so spent the $ with an authorized dealer.

Wasting no time getting these guys assembled.

Dropped off at my local pro wheel/tire shop. They have a touchless mounting machine and always treat the wheels right.

Tonight I will be ceramic coating the wheels, which I will detail here.

Spent last night doing my usual wheel prep. Gyeon wheel armor seems to offer a little more gloss and makes cleaning them a little easier - brake dust has a hard time clinging to a slick surface.

Tools for the job, Adams detail spray, Gyeon Surface Prep (Oil/Grease remover), Goo-Gone, Wheel Armor coating, and a couple plush micro fibers.

Only prep needed to was to remove these stickers with Goo-Gone and de-grease the wheels with Surface Prep spray:

By the end, they looked the same as when I started, just with invisible layer of product applied...
