My '19 GT-base/PP1 bought in late Jan 2019 (just 4 months before I bought the SS/1LE) was 34.5+TTL or 2.5k cheaper, but significantly less content as itemized previously. I was seriously considering getting rid of the Mustang as it was clearly inferior car for the purposes of driving. But the soft-side (interior etc) and the forum quality believe it or not, swayed me to keep it a bit longer. Plus the contrast was interesting and the GT wasn't so horrible that it couldn't be fixed by throwing money at Steeda and BMR. And then I decided What the Hell, keep both. And then 2 months later bought an Ecoboost/PP1 and new GTI Rabbit while I was it and do my own, private 4-car drive-off and camparo. The 4-bangers are both gone now a year after I bought them and my finances are less strained. :)

It was a fun year.
i would love to own both, but thatll have to wait until i either get out of the military, or get a few more ranks...which is hard to do considering the specialty im in.

having both is always the best answer lol

also this forum is awesome. i love it.

i did say slightly faster. Admitting that its a negligible difference. However, for the price..i think the gap widens. Like i said, the ss 1le can be had for around pp1 price (base model not premium, the premium pp1 is more expensive). between the two the camaro just felt better than my mustang. Other people disagree and thats fine.

i got the camaro less than a month ago, so this reflects pandemic prices. It was ~45k + TTL. For comparison sake, the pp1 premium mustangs i looked at locally, the lowest any of them went was 47.5k + TTL. But across the board the camaro is less $$$.

the camaro 1le (and regular ss) comes with the tremec 6060. The mach 1 and gt350 come with the 3160. both are great but the 6060 is a more robust transmission from what ive seen.
That's very interesting. Maybe it's the area you're in and/or the Pandemic pricing, but I found the opposite to be true when I was buying my car. My loaded PP1 was $49k MSRP and I got it for $43k + TTL. In comparison the 2SS I was looking at stickered at $48k and they couldn't go below $45k + TTL.

perhaps. I checked every dealership in california that i could find that had 1ss 1le and 2ss 1le..as well as pp1/pp2 mustangs. It was the same across the board for what i found.

the pp1 loaded without magneride was more expensive than even the 2ss 1le. MUCH more expensive than the 1ss 1le.

also as a fun little add on, it seems people that bought a 2020/2021 ss 1le get an engine with a "built by" plaque on it. as they were originally meant for the c7 corvette.

If I had a choice between the 2021 GT500 or 2021 Chevy Camaro ZL1.. Camaro all the way.

can do a lot with the money saved.
True, but the ZL1 is a purpose built machine, whereas the GT500 is a wanna be everything car that imposes to many compromises. That, and their comparing car covers in the GT500 forum haha.

i like a lot of the shelby owners on this forum..

but 9 times out of 10 when someone is being a prick on this forum, it seems to be a shelby owner looking down on others with their superiority complex.
