Yeah, painful. I find myself wanting to work on something again and you know i have this old project 964 sitting. The R is a great distraction but still a distraction ;)

I’ve got an ‘80 Trans Am I’m trying to do a pro touring build with in my garage. The 350 is a very nice distraction from it. I do think if I sold my 350, the T/A would get a lot more attention as my other vehicle is my Ram lol.

I believe it. I always said the only thing I’d replace mine with is a 911…preferably a GT3 but they are way out of my budget post Covid.

I like Porsche - I have 2 964s but my problem with modern 911s, for me, is; If you can accept the weird build quality of a Mustang and you already have a GT350, there's a HUGe price jump to get into a GT3 and they are going to be a very similar experience...arguably, the GT350 could be better in some ways. For a Turbo, what a machine - but it's a completely different animal - more of a dual personality exotic street car than a track car.

I sold my 19 350 for one reason the lack of low end torque/hp. The fact that I needed to be above 6000 rpms to feel any kind of power satisfaction drove me a bit nuts. It's just not realistic in my area to drive this car on the street at those rpms or higher to enjoy the car. It's funny but the 13 Boss I traded in on the 350 felt faster on the street and more enjoyable.

Interesting. I never had/have an issue driving one in traffic or any where for that matter and I’m at a mile high and above in elevation. The 350 just has to be driven a little differently. But that’s also what there known for. I grew up on crotch rockets so its no different actually.

I was going to say the same thing. So many are attracted to the 350 because it was a pretty good step away from being a muscle or pony car towards more of an exotic..it’s almost in a genre of its own. If you drive it like what it is, it’s a thing of beauty

For sure. Not knocking his experience and take on them. This will be a weird comparison for some but the 350 is a lot like a really nice 2011. Rank them up in pace and you see what you paid for. Don’t want to upset the powers that be.

I love the 12/13 Boss. I test drove one before I bought the 350 in Gotta have it green. Someone ended up buying it right before I could get back to the dealership. Sounded great, Recaros, alcantara wheel, plenty of torque, actually revs pretty high. All around fantastic car. Handles insanely well too, was really surprised in that aspect. Next to the 350 is my favorite type of Mustang....don't blame you for making the switch at all.

What's funny is before I bought the 350 that was the main comment. I met a guy at road atlanta who had a brand new c8, coming from a 350 and said he sold it for same reason - no low end torque. I actually like how I have to downshift and get it into powerband. You get to hear the motor zing.

The idea that the GT350 is somehow a low rpm dog cracks me up and it shows that maybe people haven't ever tried things like S2000s and other small displacement hig rpm engines (or old school turbo cars). My 350R will spin the tires at 5k rpm in 3rd on some roads with 315mm PS4S rear tires. 2nd gear all day long pretty much anywhere. Yes, my Boss 302s felt stronger but part of that is the MT82 had much shorter gearing than the Tremec (when you look at speed in gears). On the same dyno, my stock 350R was stronger pretty much everywhere than my very strong AED-tuned Boss.

Oh, and for all of the talk of the 350 being a bargain 911 competitor, having driven more than a dozen 911s starting from mid 90s 993s to 991s, the 350s are SO MUCH more fun to drive. Not as refined or high quality but in terms of just laugh out loud, holy cow did I just get away with that type of driving, a 350 is so much better. Not even close. Even my 911 snob friends get out of mine and say how exciting it is.

this…times eleventy. Not to pile on, but I don’t believe there is any metric that a 13 Boss trumps the 350…unless the 350 driver forgets to downshift

I grew up on 4.6 Cobras and love hi-revving motors in general so the so called lack of low end torque doesn't bother me. I think if these cars came with 4.10 gears stock, this wouldn't even be a discussion for some people. The car has long legs so it's not easy to hit 8250 driving around town, but on the street for me up at Angeles Crest Highway, this car feels anything but slow. The exhaust note alone of the 350 should make this car more enjoyable to drive on the street than any coyote variant.

Have zero idea what you mean "like a light switch at 6400 rpm plus". The Voodoo is such a tractable motor without any real spikes that you feel when driving it hard. If anything, I wish the power didn't start to nose over at 7500 on the way to the rev limiter.
