how about this:

and I gotta tell ya I'm a person of color, when I watched this episode as a youngster, I laughed. I watched bugs bunny every day after school and this wasn't offensive to me at all.

should this cartoon be canceled:

? But give it time it will be, along with the 3 Stooges, and anything that was once simple humor. These days everything has underlying tones and will not be tolerated. I am so glad that I grew up in simpler times, where memories were made and not explained what is so wrong with thinking that way. Amen

Coca-Cola never had a training or ad campaign based on "be less white". A Coca-Cola employee posted a slide from a non-mandatory anti-discrimination seminar. That seminar was hosted by LinkedIn, and likely created by a 3rd-party partner (allowing LinkedIn to absolve themselves of blame). If you want to get mad at someone, find out who made that slide deck.

This whole nothing burger got blown out of proportion and had the facts distorted by the wonderful shitstorm that is social media/sensational journalism. Don't trust everything that you read.
Sounds like something a Coke drinker would say....

I don't even know who that is 🤪
She says she never heard of you either. [/searched to see if Robin is male or female and still hoping I didn't use wrong pronoun]

Sometimes I use my penis as a pogo stick. Do I run the risk of being cancelled?
Little risk of canceling; huge risk of Peyronie's

And thanks for the story behind your screen name.

So you want to tell me that Robin DiAngelo's work is great and we should all listen to her. Go ahead :)
The name Robin DiAngelo means less than nothing to me as well, and I've lived just fine all these years not even knowing of her(?) existence. I think I'll be fine if I learn less about that person than I might be able to find in just this thread.

There isn't enough time in life for all of us to have read everything that everybody else here has. Have you ever read anything by John Dixon? Or Sven Hassel?

The name Robin DiAngelo was specific to the discussion me and Mike had and topic, so YOU don't have to know or read anything she wrote. I couldn't care less is a bystander of a conversation wants or doesn't want to know what We are talking about.
Same here, did you read anything by Fyodor Dostoevski or Dante Alighieri?

And why should anyone else care if you care? Asking for a friend.

I'm a huge fan of Arthur C. Clarke, and Isaac Asimov myself.
Yes, perhaps along the lines of Jules Verne and George Orwell (maybe people need to read 'Animal Farm' for more than it being 'just a story').

But far too mainstream for the point I was trying to make.

I remember Mr Potato head from way back. Back in those days, you had to provide an actual potato for his body, so you could use a lot of imagination about how he looked. You can bet my Mr Potato head had a dick and little potato balls! My Mom wasn't thrilled!
