Another video...

Says stock shortblock should be good for 800-900hp.
His current cam is running 0.900 inch lift on ported stock casting.

The 7.3 gasser is a boat anchor. Ford took a MONSTROUS 10 year step back in technology to appease a small crowd.
No, it's literally meant for towing. Consistent, heavy towing. In that regard it's more efficient than a diesel with less complexity. That's the entire point.

Palm Beach Dyno is putting one in their 2005 mustang.

Side notes, OBR already has and aftermarket ECU and harness for the Godzilla. Palm Beach Dyno will be offering a swap kit for S197 owners once they get their swap down.

More interesting dyno results.

100HP gain with mild head work (stock valves and springs) and cam.

190HP gain with intake, mild head work (stock valves and springs) and upgraded CAM.

According to his post, these results should be able to be improved upon as well.

I'd love to put a built 7.3 motor -650 WHP in a notchback, and hit low 9's, but my bank account says no!

Mods, for the sake of all S550 owners everywhere please move this insipid thread over to “general-automotive-topics-non-6th-gen-mustang“.

Or for the money, put a supercharger on your Coyote, have a similar weight penalty, and have 750RWHP all day every day with the potential for even more.

Might as well swap LS7's and save the 100lbs.
