You have even an iota of proof for this statement? You seem to be locked into some fantasy that this bull dozer engine is a secret race engine. That is laughable.

LOL.......Dude, I've been giving you and others hints of what's to come.
Can't really talk about this.......

Like I said, if all Ford wanted to do was make a larger truck motor.
The 6.2 stroked out would have been more than good enough.

Or a gas version of the 6.7.......?

Let's kill the we needed a cheaper engine crap by the way.
If this was truly the truth? The 6.2 SOHC would be dead.
Remember that these trucks are approaching $100,000
A few hundred bucks would mean nothing.

And now Visner?

Truck engine? Seriously?

Obviously he has information. Ive never seen anyone on a forum talk out their a$s before. Probably a tornado and fuel magnet away from 1000whp

Strong chance that "Visner Racing Engines Induction Specialist" helped develop the heads
for this engine.
Things are starting to look very promising.

Yeah, you’re probably right. All this Ford presentation about it being a new truck engine is really just propaganda to hide the fact it’s a new race engine. Because there is a huge market at the local wrecking yards for die hard racers to one day pick these engines out of dump trucks, to be used at the drag strip.

Oh, and I’m sure there will be a HUGE aftermarket in race parts for those guys wanting to drag race their one tons.

I watched the engineer speak about this new 7.3 truck engine.

He stated that they had listened to the commercial truck market that wanted an engine that made great low rpm torque, was reliable, fuel efficient and easy to work on in the field.

That’s it. Straight from the source.

There will be a huge market for these engines when they've done their duty...ever heard of NASCAR?! :cwl:

Yep, and the only vehicles with this engine at the track will be the tow trucks.

With the 7.3 being more narrow, the chance of a TT Ecoboost V-8 Mustang just got better.
With that much displacement, it will be able to match the demon in hp and tq.

He never has any proof or useful information besides his incorrect conjecture.

LOL, match?! This thing with snails will tear a hole in the Demon.

Look at how huge those bore centres are! Massive breathing right there. And for reference the Triton 5.4 had a longer stroke than this so it shouldn't have problems exploiting revs beyond 6500rpm.

As we see it in this state it's purposely very understressed. It would be illogical if it weren't understressed for such applications.

Yes, not smart swapping into S550; forced induction on the Coyote is much cheaper and easier.

The true potential of the 7.3, though, could be realised in special editions of the F series trucks (next gen Raptor?), a Boss 429 Mustang, or Shelby Cobra (if Ford ever wish to bring that back).

So it begins....

Also, according to Evan this heavy pig of an engine is ~ 100lbs heavier than a coyote. Not too shabby.
