Who is using a Group 47 AGM Battery? Any issues?

Been reading that group 47 AGM battery doesn’t fit perfectly, such that the cover doesn’t close all the way. Have you had any issues because of that?

Good to know - thanks. Wonder what it will cost The XS Ppwer D4700 is about $280. Was hoping to find one that fits that's similar to The Duracell you can get at Sam's for $150. Strange that yours fits but others say the lid won't seal. I assumed Group 47 are all same exact size.

I did some research on this about a year ago or so I think and found that the dimensions are varied a little from manuf to manuf. At least according to the specs listed online by each OEM.

in the end I just went with another wet cell batt instead of agm

I was going for the XS item but my supplier couldn't get it to me in less than a month. Two-day delivery from Amazon on the ACDelco 47. You can see from the photos that the original and replacement are of different dimensions, but there isn't enough interference to require adjustments or disqualification.

I'd say, "It doesn't not fit".

Opened a new thread just now, but just wondering which posts did you purchase for your D4700. I am having trouble fitting the negative cable as it doesn't want to go in as the hole is too small for the posts.

Oddly enough those are the ones I got and my negative cable doesn't want to fit on them, did you have any trouble putting the negative cable on the posts, any modification? In order for me to get it to fit I literally had to hammer the negative cable in until it fit which felt so awful and wrong to do lol Thanks!
