Only issue I've ever had was with the annual state inspection. I just make sure I put it on the front mount before going to the inspection station. In MA, they have cameras in the inspection station and I don't want the inspector getting in trouble because I didn't have it "permanently" mounted.

State inspection in MA is also to check for both front and rear plates? That seems kind of crazy to me.

Nah. Sometimes my city feels like it’s made up of Gotham rejects. Cops aren’t looking for plates.

I have a gen 1.5 & 2 Viper. The front plate brackets look terrible and screw through the bumper like our Mustangs. Back in the day.....guys in states with front plate requirements would have their dealer write up an order form that said the plate bracket was on back order. They just kept it in the car in the event of a stop. (The bracket for my GTS is still in the bag...)

I don't run front plates because they're dumb.

the only time i've ever been written up for a plate was a cop that stopped me for speeding and he was obviously having a hard time in every way possible. by the time he got his fat little no neck having ass up to my truck's window he was fully committed to his pissiness.

10 bucks and a photo on my phone of the truck with a stuck on plate and it was gone.

i don't even run window stickers because all of that is tied electronically to your plate. "oh new windshield" or "oh yeah i haven't stuck it on yet". sometimes they offer to stick it on. i decline.

stupid "laws" that have nothing to do with keeping the peace should be disobeyed on principle..

Just bought a 2015 5.0 with the performance package. No front plate but in Minnesota it is a $300.00 fine so I did install a sto & go so the plate in under the lowest spoiler and it can't be seen. It will only go up if I get pulled over.
Congrats and welcome aboard.

I think it has more to do with the the gantry cameras on toll roads. I avoid the mass pike whenever possible but travel it when heading to Pa. or Lebanon Valley.

My province removed the requirement for a front plate a few years back (2020, maybe?), I'm very glad they did :)

I’ve yet to see a Shelby here in IL that has a front plate and they’re required here. I don’t run one and most of the sports cars and exotics don’t. A lot of dealerships won’t even install them on cars like Camaros, Mustangs, Vette’s, etc unless you tell them to. They assume most buyers of those cars don’t want the ugly front plates on their cars. Never been pulled over for not having a front plate, law enforcement has been things to do (friends with several LEO’s and they’ve all said the same thing, and none of them run front plates either LOL).

Don’t drive like an arse and they’ll leave you be. If they nail you for doing something stupid, they’ll probably add no front plate to the list.

Yes, this is correct.
I have a BIG MIKE's removable front plate mount just for the yearly inspections.
