Here's something even more interesting. You can see the entire roster's geographic distribution by clicking here, with a few quick notes for context.

Obviously, Blue represents Kona and White Wimbledon. Circles are Manual and Squares are Automatics.

Pushpins are situated upon the cities where cars were fulfilled, not necessarily at each fulfillment dealership's exact physical location. Unfortunately, Google Maps will stack pushpins that represent multiple cars fulfilled through a particular dealership and any city that may have multiple dealerships (which also may have delivered multiple cars). Yet considering the disproportionate number of cities with just one Ford dealer that received just one car, the map paints a fascinatingly relevant picture even at the state and narrower.

Certain cars were fulfilled through non-dealership third parties, usually for export. These include OMCS which sells cars to military and diplomatic personnel abroad and even Ford's own export fleet department. Others in territories like Mexico receive cars through centralized local entities which then distribute vehicles onward to dealers domestically as U.S. made imports.

Whenever the vehicle's destination dealership is known, the map will reflect it. The map otherwise will reflect farthest known downstream distribution point such as Mexico City for all Mexico-bound LEs, nation state, export embarkation port (such as Jacksonville, Baltimore or Oxnard) or selling entity location (such as Fribourg, Switzerland or OMCS) for vehicles not directed to stateside dealers for fulfillment. You'll soon get the idea.

The map does include all 1964 Limited Edition 50th Anniversary cars. If a particular car isn't visible, Google has nestled behind one or more others.

Each data point contains significantly more data than this map reflects, like order type, actual build order and assembly date. Until I or Google come a meaningful way to represent much more data, including multiple co-located pushpins, I've decided simplicity is best.

P.S. Dig the 600,000 sq mi void centered just north of Wendover, NV where NO Kona Blue cars exist within almost a 500-mile radius. Not that there's a whole hell of a lot of anything else out there, but a decent number of WW cars happen to be interspersed.

it's a very real possibility that they were sold before they were scheduled to be built. I put a deposit on mine in May of last year. it came off the truck and went into my garage. most likely there a re a lot like that. there's probably about 25 on Ebay, if you're looking for one.

They may have been retail orders that went straight into buyers' hands or could be units currently scheduled for production or in transit from FRAP. The entire roster is represented.

They still have several on the lot right now. I drive by there everyday and they had as many as 5 on the lot at once, all still in their delivery wrap.
