I'm getting ready to run Rocky Mountain Race Week, and wanted to see if there are any experienced Whipple Tune users that have ran these cars up on the mountain.
We'll be racing in Pueblo/Denver, then back here in Kansas. My only real concern, is i'm not sure how the car will respond to going up to altitude and making passes. Aside from losing a little boost that is due to the thinner air (I do plan on dropping 1 or 2 pulley sizes if necessary to say in my class E/T range).
The Whipple tune has been beyond awesome for 2 years now. Driveability is great, and no issues with the tune whatsoever. I'm sure the tune is calibrated for both sea level, as well as at altitude, as the kits could be sold to either market......and I have not reached out to Whipple just yet to clarify. Just trying to cover any surprises that may crop up with tuning issues ahead of time, rather than fight them at the time.
