Hello!

So, i’ve been running the whipple tune on my Mustang GT (2019 - A10) - Stage 2

The car made 700whp. on the stock whipple tune.

Eventually I want to do a custom tune, and make 800whp+.

How would I achieve this, and is it possible solely on 94?

Of course, switching to PBD won’t be enough. I assume upgrading the pulley is where I should start.

Thanks in advance!

I went from the Whipple tune to PBD in my 17’ with a 2.9 and it was a night a day difference. The Whipple tune makes great power and is EO compliant which is fantastic. However, for what power you’re wanting you’ll want to run either race gas (i did this and made 820 on a BAP but it’s super expensive) or get injectors, return fuel system, pulley down a little bit and run e85.

with those things you’ll easily EASILY be over 800 rwhp ++

Whipple tune makes good number. But Lund or PBD I’m sure may make more. However the trans tuning is probably a huge difference in itself. I never ran the whipple tune so I really can’t compare. I’m sure there’s many that have though

The big gains are In the transmission tuning and torque management. I actually made a little less power with the PBD tune but improved 0.4 on my ET and trapped 4 MPH higher.

Gen 3 12:1 and 94 octane for 800 whp+ would be risky, I would use race fuel or E85.
You have the ability to switch pulleys and fuels depending on the needs.
