So my 2019 GT 10R80 is on order through Ford and I’m dead set on a stage 2 whipple charger. I plan on using Lund for tuning, but after discussing the fact that stations only carry 91 where I am, things took a downward turn lol.

Based on the compression ratio of these engines, the 91 would have to be so neutered to be safe, it would be heartbreaking.

So what are my options?

-91 with Torco added? (Difficult to maintain consistency)

-E85 (also hard to find in my area and the pumps that have it are rarely used and i risk getting less than 70% or even water in it). Not to mention $2500+ in fuel upgrades to support.

-methanol/water injection (lots of areas of failure to happen)

-buy 110 in a barrel and mix (pita and logistical nightmare unless i only stay close to home)

Anyone have any thoughts?

The stage 2 kit is designed for 91. Download the whipple install manual and there is a pulley/octane chart in the back.

I know. Trying not to be stuck with a 4” pulley and maybe 600whp on a system easily capable of a hell of a lot more.

Just got my 19 gt whipple setup tuned on 91 and hit 697 to the tires.
What else do you have done and who tuned it? What pulley?

E85 first choice, test the stations in your area and see what they showing.

2nd option boostane about 8oz of boostane professional should keep you plenty safe for 700+

That would be ONE station within 50 miles lol. So if it’s not good, then i’m kinda shit out of luck.

I’ll have to chat with the tuner about that option. It woukd probably be the easiest logistically.

18 A10 Stage 2 Whipple 20 over lower 3.87 upper. 750/640 on straight 93, 91 and a little Boostane should do the trick

Well on E85 it made 872/720. It’s been abused on both tunes and so far, awesome!

I believe the manual says you can run the 3.875 pulley with 91. I don't think you'd be down at 600 rwhp. 700 seems more plausible. I did a lot of testing on Boostane and it does work you don't have to use much to get a measurable difference in KR, even 1/4 can to a tank will help.
