Between a centri or a t.v.s, which of these would be more hurtful on mileage?

That is a hard question to answer. Mileage is a direct result of how often and how much accelerator input you use. Both are hurtful on mileage if you drive the car aggressively.

A positive displacement supercharger will bring in boost earlier and quicker, thus it will be harder to stay out of boost and kill mileage.

There are lots of other factors though, but that is a big part of the architecture of each that you can't get away from.

Most don’t realize that the supplied calibration, whether canned or custom, are what kills the mileage with a supercharger. The calibration, followed by driving style, affect fuel mileage more than the blower type.

I think that's all given, he's asking (given everything else is the same) which base architecture of supercharger is more efficient.

If he drives exactly the same, has the same exact quality tune from the same tuner, which one will be more efficient?

@EFI that may be the case but I’m saying he shouldn’t worry about the style of blower if he’s worried about economy. Between TVs and centrif the difference is minuscule. But all of the calibrations leave a ton of mileage on the table, some being better than others.

If you get more than 16.59mpg with a Supercharger you should have to give it back... and shamed GOT style.

Hey guys , no I definately read every single post posted ok the thread . The reason i am concerned about mileage is really because this is my daily driver . I know it's ridiculous to think about mileage with a supercharger. However I just want it there for those few WOT pulls I can do here and there in safe areas . It's a thing I've always wanted since I bought this car . To have a supercharged beast. But I mean if one blower is more efficient than another, maybe I'll consider it as a better choice for my application.
