I know there's a thread here about the cheapest intercooler but I wanted to start one about the "best" in terms of quality and what you guys think, I can never go "cheapest" with cars but if the cheapest is the best choice then there's no arguing:cheers:

I'm 100% going to upgrade the turbo in this thing, just like many of us I'm eagerly waiting to see what MAP will bring to the table as well as other tuners that will follow suit! So I'm looking to prep my car for the upgrade so a FMIC is crucial to keep it all consistent and safe.

Do I need to change the charge pipes? What are the benefits in doing so?

I know some come with the Turbosmart BOV but it would be nice if there were more options out there, I know the platform is very new so I can't really complain.

Anyways, what intercooler is best in your opinion or which intercooler would you recommend me get for my needs?

I wouldn't change the charge pipes until you decide what turbo upgrade you go with. Locations may vary.

During the install of my Full-Race FMIC I could barely get it to fit. It's about 4x the size of the stock one. Don't see how it can get any better without going ATM style with the stepped design. Either one of those would get my vote for the best.

I went with the MMR intercooler and its performed great, however it's been out of stock lately. I haven't seen any that wouldn't out perform stock.

Thanks for the info guys, I've heard great things about the Levels IC but I'm sure that's also out of stock by now. Full Race seems really nice too.

Nik, at Levels, isn't out lol. I talk to him on a pretty regular basis. He'll usually give Facebook group/forum members better pricing than what's listed on the website too. The quality of his work is outstanding and the intercooler performs amazingly well. Here's some of the perks:

-Large bar and plate core by Vibrant (I don't remember the sizing right off, but it's big)
-Billet end tanks
-Hand TIG welded
-Optimized and CAD designed end tanks to optimize flow and reduce pressure drop across the core
-Bolt-on kit w/everything included
-T-bolt clamps for the connections
-High quality silicon elbows (He told me the brand, but I don't remember right off the top of my head. Very nice though and multiple plies)

If you're interested in a LP FMIC, let me know and I'll get Nik to hook you up.

Check your PMs, that would be great. The reason why I thought he was out was because on insta he said there was only one left at the intro price so it threw me off.

Ahh the choices! I need to read up on both before I take the leap.
