As the title says, which tires would you use for the stock non CFTP wheels? Looking for more grip for the street and few drag strip runs. Suggestions??

While I don't have a snake on the side of my car this peasant still has close to the same pony count as you guys do. I run the 305/35/19 Nitto NT555 RIIs on the rear and love them. The G2s would blow off faster than a virgin on prom night, and that was at stock power, so definitely get something more sticky.

Warm the R2s up and they do a pretty good job at it while still being streetable.

Can you get them in 315s?

Even with the rears being 315 wide? I see the nitto’s are only 305’s.
There is no equivalent in a drag radial out there to my knowledge to run a 315/30/20 on the rear. I run the 305/30/20 on the rear with zero issues and is the same size as the fronts.

315/30/20 has a 27.5 inch diameter
305/30/20 has a 27.24 inch diameter

It’s about as close as you can get to the overall diameter of the stock 315 with a drag radial.

I thought so but I guess not. Checked the Nitto and M/T website. Sounds like the 305 will be just fine though.

To get a stickier tire, I used 11x19" gt350 wheels and mounted MT ET Street SS in 305/35-19 DRs.
Their height is 27.2" and when aired down, their width is very close to the to the stock 315-20.
I was going to use MT 325/30-19, but MT discontinued manufacture of them.

Hossman, any reason you went 305-30 vs. 305/35?

The 305/35/30 is a 28.44 diameter tire which is 1 inch bigger than the stock 315/30/20. I didn’t want totake a chance with clearance issues so opted for the 305/30/20. I would have loved the extra sidewall of a 35 over a 30.

Agree, extra sidewall would be better just not sure on fitment.

I don't know how much power you are pushing but I am stock with a JLT and the 315 R888Rs on stock base wheels work well at the strip and on the street, and you aren't sacrificing handling.

315/35/20 NT555R2s here. Awesome tire much more dry grip than PS4s and zero road noise like the R888Rs. Highly recommend them
