Hello, new here

I've got a 2015 Mustang EcoBoost Premium, which I purchased about a year and a half ago with 7,000 km on it.

I've bought a bunch of mods for it, and plan to have everything installed before the weather gets nicer

The issue I'm having now, is that I can't seem to find a place that can or will swap my springs out from my front struts.
I've already got the struts out, and the new Steeda progressives ready to go.

I've been to 2 shops who can't do it due to tools, 1 shop that refuses to get into modified work, and contacted about 3 more that wont/cant, and 1 that was too expensive (175$ for swapping 2 springs)

I tried to rent the small locking compressors from PartSource, which interfere with the bottom flange part of the strut.
A shop I went to today has a horizontal Snap-On compressor which didn't work properly with my struts.

I'm hoping some of you could recommend a place that can do this job
I really don't want to buy a compressor for a one-time use...

Thanks for any help!

Hi fellow KW Mustang owner. I can't offer any advice because I will be in the same boat as you when I buy my springs. I was really hoping to be able to rent the proper spring compressor to do the job. Discouraged to see you are having trouble finding one. Hopefully someone has some advice. Maybe cross post this to the "Suspension" forum as there is more chance of someone recommending the proper tool. There is barely any action in the Canadian forum section.

I know it's not ideal but we have a shop here in Detroit that works on our Steeda Performance Vehicles - if you are looking to make a trip to the states, we can put you in contact with Michigan Vehicle Solutions.

I'm going to keep looking..

Ideally another rental place would have the 'scissor' style compressor, but I haven't found that yet

I might have to just order one off of amazon, and try and return it hahaha

I also just remembered that there's a Steeda.ca shop in Milton, ON
By the looks of the website, they have a decent sized shop.
I will definitely contact them

Fingers crossed that they have a compressor :like:

I purchased these to change my front springs and they worked perfectly.
Also not very expensive...

That's interesting, I've thought about those as maybe having more 'reach' than the locking ones.

You didn't have any issues with interference with the large diameter of the bottom flange?
No issues,
They are very flexible to work with, you can slightly adjust each separately if needed, side to side.
I was happy and surprised as well as the cost was the same as a rental.

Thanks for the help

I'll try Princess Auto (same as Harbor Freight)

They have a 9" one in stock, which could work, rather than the 14" one you linked to
