I find it hard to believe that your car is using a quart about every 200 miles. Check the oil in the morning after it sits all night. Pull the dip stick out on a path on the firewall side of the strut tower brace when you are checking the level.
The “revised” manual says a quart every 500 miles is “normal”.
Probably why it had 3-4 owners in only 8000 miles .
No previous engine replacement ?

you need to find a dealer who wants to do some warranty work, if you still have warranty. Around 12k miles mine started drinking 1qt/350mi…not uncommon in these. Good news is you’ll get a new motor.

it is a little concerning someone at ford told you no, however

A dealer told him that, not Ford. The Dealer is flat out wrong. Is it a Ford Warranty?

Yeah, living in vegas that Ford dealer was the most recommended of course.

It holds 10, so there is 3/4 of a quart that you are low.
The dip stick was full when I put 9 quarts in and so to be safe I added the 1/4” of the last bottle. Now the dip stick is bone dry so I’m 10 quarts low now…

I did not notice that, in the OP it reads like he just called ford. I can see the dealer saying anything and that's much less concerning lol

To clear it up, I called our recommended Ford dealer and asked to speak to a mustang specialist in service. That was probably my first mistake. I explained what was going on with the car and requested an oil consumption test, his reply to my was “No, read the owners manual and you will see that you need to check the oil every time you get gas”. Even when I explained that 10 quarts disappeared after 1,200 miles (10,600-11,800miles) he said “read the owners manual it’s common, you have a hot running engine”

At least you don’t have to change the oil. Just swap the filter every now and then.

I just did my 19th oil change for the GT350 (74,000 miles). I have never put less than 10 qt and it always registers at top hole at 10 qt. Not saying you dont have an oil issue but you were 1 qt low to begin with and you probably burned 2 qt since then so you would be reading dry in dipstick as it cant see below 8 qt.

My only push on that is that I had to add 6 additional quarts of oil to get a reading.

Is it possible that with that many owners (and no history) someone has the wrong dip stick or the tube is not on correctly or something stupid like that? Something sounds strange ?
