Are there no Ford dealers in Bulgaria? 🤔
https://www.motopfohe.bg/en/dealer-network

In that case 😆, it might make sense to order the part from another EU country.

FINIS part number for sourcing in Europe is 5208485.

At first, usually, no authorized dealer in the EU can do anything with the US part numbers.
With the FINIS number, any authorized dealer in your EU country should be able to order the part.

If that is out of the question, for whatever reason, then you should try your luck in another EU country, due to costs for shipping, customs and currency conversion from the US.

Buying from outside the EU is actually only worthwhile if the part you are looking for is not available in the EU or is only available at a significantly higher price. For example, this is the case with many Ford Performance parts for the Mustang, that are not regularly sold in the EU, because third-party dealers are often much more expensive than importing from the US on your own.

Simply email to a authorized dealer in an other EU country, ask for price and shipping.
https://www.deepl.com may help with translation.
Most will not ship to other countries, but some are good for a try to ask, I would select candidates based on whether they sell on major platforms.
E.g. this authorized dealer in Germany, who ist also selling on ebay: https://www.tobaben.eu/ https://www.ebay.de/str/fordtobaben with a own online parts store https://www.online-teile.com/ford-ersatzteile/

https://www.online-teile.com/ford-ersatzteile/5208485_Blindniet.html

Finally, you should also then compare prices, shipping to Bulgaria seems to be very expensive there.

When importing from the US myself, my impression is that doing it through Ebay or Amazon makes things pretty easy, the standalone stores of the same sellers are sometimes not as well set up for selling outside the US.

A hint to get along with the local dealer:
Some parts guys there have a hard time finding the parts you want in the EPC.
You can help them by looking up the part with the US part number and emailing them the exploded view and a picture of the part (the exploded views are the same in their system): https://parts.ford.com/en.html

Alternatively, you can try to find the FINIS number yourself (but the data there is outdated!):

@Nightmonkey Thanks for the lengthy answer :)
With the FINIS number, any authorized dealer in your EU country should be able to order the part.
I was not aware that there is a different numbering scheme used here (nor that I tried to find), so so far went with the US parts numbers. I guess there should be an advantage in getting it from the local distribution, but my experience so far with parts for Mach 1 is that they are scarce and the price pretty much matches (or even surpasses) the price I would pay in the US.

Not to speak about the aftermarket parts which are quite expensive (even when calculating import and VAT).

But I guess for some "standard" parts (like pushpins), going by FINIS seems like a good idea.

E.g. this authorized dealer in Germany, who ist also selling on ebay: https://www.tobaben.eu/ https://www.ebay.de/str/fordtobaben with a own online parts store https://www.online-teile.com/ford-ersatzteile/
Thanks for the link, finding parts dealers, who actually advertises the parts they sell, is not easy here (Czech Rep.) and going by FINIS looks like a chicken-egg problem.

When importing from the US myself, my impression is that doing it through Ebay or Amazon makes things pretty easy, the standalone stores of the same sellers are sometimes not as well set up for selling outside the US.
This was my experience as well, so far I used both for ordering some performance parts. The well known parts store in the US either do not ship things internationally, or ship it at the hefty price, which kills the whole deal.

Dropped one last week as well…couldn’t find it. Good timing on this thread.

What can I say, the reason I commented here should be obvious. 😆
In other words, who has not experienced it? 🤫

The Mustang is one of my first cars where what you throw in the top doesn't fall out the bottom. 🙈

I have not with this, but I do refer to the engine bay as the Mustang triangle.
