When do yall swap over to the summer setup?

Todays like 70ish in my area.

From what I understand, winter tires degrade much quicker in warm weather.

I switch from winters to summers when average temps are mostly in the 40's or above. In Chicago that's closer to April but this year I just switched over this weekend since it's been mild winter. Winter tires feel like driving on wet noodles in the 50's

I just swapped out my Nitto G2 555's for Conti Extreme contact sports. Couldn't be happier! I chose to save a couple hundred bucks over PS4S.
Had them out Saturday night, temps in low 40's and they were great!

I bring my car out in April-ish. Cause March Madness means a whole different thing in my neck of the woods. Went to Firehawk Indy 500's from Nitto 05's. Couldn't be happier!

Michelin sez 40'f for the P4S or PS2 .. I ran my P4's all winter as long as the temp was above freezing. I've seen no tire damage on the older MPSS driving them in the low 20's. True they had no grip down there but I saw no cracking or abnormal wear either.

How were the G2 555's for grip? I'm gonna go 275 PS4S squared but I havnt been able to find anything on the G2's thats comparable.

Summer tires are rocks once temps get below 40, so I put mine on when lows are generally above 40.

I couldn’t wait to get the Nittos off my car. They were scary to drive in the rain and noisy. They also just didn’t hook up good at all. Only reason I had them was because they came on wheels I got from American muscle. The ECS’s are like driving a whole new car.
One thing to consider that I just found out on my new ECS is they are not directional like most summer tires do, so with a squared setup you can rotate

Copy that. My 'be all, end all' O5's sucked the big one. Heard nothing but bad things about the 555's as well.

Summer tires back on in mid April. All seasons back on mid October. This is for Boise. I generally want the avg. overnight low to be 45F or higher (for my commute in the morning). The MS4S have terrible traction under about 45-48F so there's no point in having them on in essentially anything below 50F. The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ I have on my car have great traction compared to the MP4S under 50F.

Here in Kansas City, I switch them out the 1st or 2nd weekend of April. For winter tires, 4 of course on their own wheels, I use General Altimax Arctic , very happy. This past winter was very mild, hardly needed them, but previous 2 winters were brutal, tires worked GREAT !! Bring on nice weather !!!

I switch to summers when temps are generally above 35-40 at night and I switch to winters when temps start dropping below 35 at night.

I'd rather have winters on in warm weather than summers on in cold weather. traction wise. So I am a little more cautious about switching to the summers. I've driven on my winters several times on 60-70 degree days with no noticeable wear. Weather varies and you might get a 70 degree day in the middle of a bunch of 30-40s, I'm certainly not going to swap tires every time that happens lol.

I don't switch mine, I store it around Halloween and pull it out around mid April.
