Well, someone on here said it happened to them and it lifted his valve cover/pushed out the gasket. He was boosted though.
Boosted could be a factor, reading mjhpadi post got me thinking . I had not thought of that angle, makes total sence.

So, I got the oil fill cap today and it is identical to the original except the 5w30 print instead of 5w20.
Great to hear.
Now the car feels more complete I bet!

Not kicking in on "another oil thread" thing, but does anybody know about some technical changes in the 2021 engine?
Are some drain-back holes larger, VCT, OPG, did they change anything at all, besides the Part-number of the oil-cap?
I´m up to a service at the dealer and dont know if he would refuse to fill the 2021 oil into my 2020 engine. (its basically exclusively a warranty thing, i would to it) Because for some reason European cars don't have the "For track use change Oil to xxx" in the manual.

Hey, maybe the 2021 needs 5w30 to dampen the opg resonance since they lost the fluid damper...

I have said this before . My 16 model says 5w20 on the oil cap ,but in the owners manual it says 5w30 . This is the Australian version and I know the US version says 5w20 on cap and book . I always put 5w30 in mine .

Had only one oil change so far in my 2019 Bullitt at 3,000klms and used Penrite 5W-30, after much research as to the best oil for Australian conditions for the Gen III Coyote V8 Engine with an oil capacity of 9.8 litres. Hope this helps.

so 10 quarts of 5w30 is the best oil to use..what brand do yall recommend
Y'all don't recommend anything. You'll get dozens or more answers.

I use PUP in my NA engines and PP in my turbos.

I believe the “best” 5w30 is pennzoil euro 5w30 (NOT euro L). It’s nearly impossible to find but is the same thing as bmw twinpower turbo 5w30. Second “best” is castrol edge 5w30 a3/b4. All of these are api SL, not SN+ or the current SP because they have too much zddp and too high hths to be considered emissions system compliant or resource conserving, but work great in performance applications!

The 'best' oil for me is one that meets the Ford Australia requirement of an oil that meets the WSS-M2C913-D standard, mainly if there is any warranty issues I'm covered.

Lots of what I would call great oils don't meet that standard.

I ended up getting Valvoline Synpower FE as that met the specs and I could find it locally.

Really long as you are changing regularly with a oil that meets the specifications and using a quality filter oil brand does';t matter. Even Amazon oil comes back with good oil tests.

I'm sticking with Motorcraft because why not?

Currently using signature series 5W-20 synthetic Amsoil, with a K&N oil filter.... after reading this thread i'll be switching to signature series to 5W-30 synthetic.... I change it every 5K to 7K.... I'll be installing an oil separator on my next oil change too.

Just bought 10 quarts of M1 5w30 goodness today for the next change...which will be the third since I got it. No issues whatsoever and running smoothly. The filter is Napa Premium #47502 (made by Wix, I believe).
